A maximum of 10 photos per family.

Photos must be 10"x8" or similar, with a minimum resolution of 72 dpi. By sending original prints, photos from CD or digital camera without downsizing per request of your email or photo program, you should be fine.

Photos should be named with your name followed by a number.  Example, if you send five photos and your email shows your name to be John Doe, then you would name your photos; johndoe1.jpg, johndoe2.jpg, johndoe3.jpg, johndoe4.jpg, johndoe5.jpg.

Include information of each picture in the email. For example, if John Doe sends the five photos then he will also include text such as:
   johndoe1.jpg is my 4-year old Long Hair Chihuahua named Spot. He lives in Chicago, Illinois.
   johndoe2.jpg is also Spot
   johndoe3.jpg is my other Chihuahua, Short Hair, named Taco. He also lives in Chicago, Illinois.
   johndoe4.jpg is both Spot and Taco
   johndoe5.jpg is also both Spot and Taco

Please try to send all your photos in one email. You can zip or stuff your pictures into a folder if you wish. If you can not send all photos in one email you can send them in separate, consecutive emails.

Due to the overwhelming response to the calendar contest we do not respond to individual emails.
Winners are chosen by Chihuahua Connection staff who are not permitted to have photos in the contest. Winners are NOT required to be full-bred Chihuahuas. We encourage rescue and therefore widely accept mixed-breed Chihuahua photos. We also encourage submitting photos of your seniors!
We do not judge the photo contest based on the akc standards in any way. We choose photos based on cuteness, clarity, content and unfortunately size - we receive HUNDREDS of photos each year that are simply to small to use! Many times a photo did not win simply because it was too small for printing!
Please keep in mind that we do not choose photos with their humans in the pics and generally do not choose photos with other breeds that are clearly not Chihuahuas - ie - Lab, Bulldog, etc.
